Enrollment
How do I join Philo's Academy?+
Click any "Start Learning" button on the site. Checkout runs through Whop. Once you're through, you get access to every module, case study, and workshop.
How much does it cost?+
$250/month, or
$2,500/year if you pay annually. That saves you $500 compared to paying monthly. Both plans get you the same full access. No installment plan at this time.
Is there a free trial?+
There isn't a formal trial, but you don't have to take our word for it first. Free excerpts from modules and case studies are up on
YouTube, and Philo's own investing philosophy and mindset essays (25+ pieces, all free) are archived at
Philo's Library. Philoinvestor actually started as an education-first newsletter, so that's the deepest way to see the thinking behind the course before you enroll.
What's your refund policy?+
Refund requests are considered case-by-case. Contact us within 14 days of purchase if you'd like to request one. See our
Terms of Service for the full policy.
What happens if I cancel?+
You keep full access through the end of your current billing period, then it stops. No further charges after that.
Can I share my account with someone else?+
No. Enrollment is for your personal use only. Sharing your login or redistributing course materials isn't allowed and may result in your access being revoked without refund.
The Course
What's actually inside the course?+
Four parts: Foundational Concepts & Value Investing, Advanced Investment Concepts, Mastery & Strategy, and Managing Risk & Portfolio Management, taught through modules, case studies applying the frameworks to real companies, and live workshops with student Q&A. See
everything inside.
Is it self-paced?+
Yes. Modules, case studies, and workshop recordings are all available on demand, so you can work through the four parts at your own pace.
Do I need any prior experience?+
No. Part 1 builds your foundation from scratch, and the course is built for a wide range of starting points. See
who joins Philo's Academy.
Are results guaranteed?+
No. Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal, and past performance isn't indicative of future results. See our
Disclaimer for the full statement.
Why Join
I'm just starting out. Is this too advanced for me?+
Not at all. Part 1 is built for beginners building their foundation, and the course walks up from there. You don't need any background going in.
I'm already an experienced investor. Will I learn anything new?+
Almost certainly. This isn't a repeat of your finance degree or CFA material. It doesn't teach WACC, CAPM, or the efficient market hypothesis as gospel. It teaches where those models break down in practice, and how to use that to your advantage. Parts 2 through 4 cover professional-level frameworks: analyst-grade valuation, strategy and macro integration, and portfolio risk management.
I mostly invest in ETFs. Is this still relevant to me?+
Yes. Moving from passive ETF investing into confident stock-picking is one of the most common paths students take through the course.
Corporate & Teams
Do you offer packages for teams?+
Who teaches the course?+
Philo, from
Philoinvestor: 20+ years investing experience, followed by 20,000+ people on X & Substack.
